This post is all about Halloween decorating ideas.
Are you looking for affordable decor ideas for Halloween? I for one am always looking for a good deal, because I do not want to spend a lot of money every holiday on new decorations. A tip I have is to buy a few new decorations every year, instead of buying all at once. Styles change way too often and you never know what will be in next year, so you don’t want to invest too much in all new decorations one year just for it to be out of style the following year. There are definitely some classics that will last year after year, and you can find some of those examples below!
Top 5 Halloween Decorations from Amazon
1. Black Crows
Aren’t these creepy, but also sort of cute?! I used these on my front porch hanging off of my planters. It’s an easy way to spookify your home for Halloween and you can find so many places for these. Use them outside like I did or place anywhere inside your home. It’s an affordable, quick and easy idea for Halloween that you can use year after year.
2. Witch Hats
I love these witch hats! I found this idea on Pinterest, there were so many amazing pictures of witch hats hanging from the front porch. So I went searching on Amazon and found the perfect hats to make this idea come to life. I used fishing wire to hang these. I think they would look super cute hanging inside the house as well! Check out these hats in the photo below.
3. Foam Pumpkins
I’m telling you guys, foam pumpkins are the way to go. I have these in several different colors and it’s amazing how realistic these look. What I love about foam is the texture. They look so much more natural looking, not the fake plasticky look that you often find with faux pumpkins. I even fooled my mother with these, she thought they were real! If you like the clean, modern look then you will love the white. If you want to add color to your space, they look amazing in the green and orange colors also! Check out my foam pumpkins that I have displayed in my dining room, below.
4. Bat Decals
This is one of my favorite ways to decorate for Halloween. Every year I place these in a different area of my home. This year they went up in my foyer and guests just love it when they walk in. It’s super simple to put up, and just as easy to take down.
Tip: Do not use the adhesive that comes with the decals because they will stick to your walls and is a pain to remove (I learned my lesson the first year I bought these). Instead, use museum putty, which I have linked below. You’re welcome! 🙂
5. Halloween Table Covers
These table covers are super cute and versatile. I especially love the fireplace mantel cover! I use these on my kitchen island, dining room, living room, really anywhere! And they have lasted, year after year. Check out how I dressed up my fireplace mantel for Halloween, below.
